Settling joint for swelling substrate

Pile foundations with beam foundation or foundation slabs can be impaired in swelling soils due to the movement of the subsoil. Special foundation slabs reduce the ground pressure on the foundations and are designed in such a way that they exert a compacting effect (approx. 50 to 150 mm) in the event of subsoil movement, thus protecting the building component from damage.
